CHI KUNG & NEI KUNG STUDENT TRAINING NOTES (This is a new idea. Check it regularly!)

I browsed my local book store the other day and found NOTHING I was interested in reading. This led me to a moment of inspiration. There must be thousands of people just like me, well almost, and I had the book we all wanted to get but it had not been written yet.

Just boring, flat self-help, NLP, meditation, (sleepy) crap. My hand could not even reach for them. So, I decided to write a Nei Kung book. A "real" Nei Kung book. Not just stories... This will be a big job. E-mail me your suggestions.

"First and foremost... Always cultivate your internal vaccume. It will serve you well under all circumstances."

With the season change upon us, meditate in front of a hot space heater ON YOUR BACK to feel better fast.

Hi Gary, Went to check your site and saw your notes to students section. I check your site regularly to see what new stuff you added. Here's some suggestions. Obviously you have the practical aspects of nei kung in your training dvds so you don't have to put that in the book. They can get the practical parts from your dvd after they read the book. Maybe give them an example of the principles taught, like one mini exercise to get a taste of it. The most important part is to define the nei kung system and what it consist of as a complete system. It's going to be tough for people to practice nei kung regularly so you can go into the mind aspects/ mental attitude of what it takes to stick with the practice. discipline as a concept of way of life, etc.. You know. Motivational stuff. Smack their heads around like you do when you work live with people who abuse themselves. Give them the flavor of Gary Clyman when they read the book! Get heart and passion to shine like when you work with clients. Testimonials of clients will help people see benefits of nei kung healing. Some chapters could be on healing with nei kung. Talking about balancing the yin/yang is important. A metaphor would be like balancing your bank account ( debt vs. surplus of energy as oppose to money). Show how energy literacy can cause harm to health and lifestyle as well as prevent one from being one's best. You can also show practical every day applications of nei kung system. How it will change a person's life by giving more confidence, discipline, perserverance, structure, mind training, etc... We learn all these stuff from doing nei kung. You can also include spiritual growth section for those who are into spiritual growth, self development. You can even show how nei kung can get someone to reach their mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical goals. Also distinguish between chi kung. Most people think it's the same. These were some ideas I had. Or you can write the lessons of nei kung as a story of a character learning nei kung principles, nei kung system, nei kung training. maybe he found various characters teaching each aspects of nei kung as a mysterious lesson. Doesn't have to be kung fu type of story. I'm sure there are analogies of everyday experience that can be used as a lesson to learn each necessary part of nei kung. People love stories that have lessons. It's more entertaining. Maybe after each chapter you can explicitely explain the lessons learned or give mini exercises so that the reader can feel that he too is learning those lessons along a journey that the main character is doing. You can incoporate many lessons in story form like lessons of perserverance, discipline, confusion, etc....
